Megan’s Law Helpline

The Suffolk County Police Department notifies the school district when a high risk sex offender is residing in Port Jefferson Station. Residents are informed by mail as soon as this notification is received. You should be aware that you can also visit the Parents for Megan’s Law website at www.parentsformeganslaw.com to register for free e-mail alerts on sex offenders and to download copies of sex offender notifications. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please call the Parents for Megan’s Law Helpline at (631) 689-2672 or the New York State Sex Offender Registry Information Line at 1-800-262-3257.
